Statement by the Dean of Students' Affairs

The Dean of Students’ Affairs is extremely contented to welcome all undergraduate students who wish to pursue their academic programs at the Rumbek University of Science and Technology. The Deanship of Students’ Affairs is here to provide a comfortable learning environment including accommodation and feeding on the three campuses namely; Eastern Campus, Mabui campus, and Aluakluak campus. We also facilitate students’ participation in intramural and extramural activities which are inspirationally believed of contemplating a spirit of nationalism, bonhomie, self-confidence, and genuinely enhanced their educational and personal capabilities.

Deanship of Students' Affairs
Rumbek University of Science and Technology offers hostels facility for students with the principal objective of inspiring them with a spirit of bonhomie, self-confidence, and self-discipline. The Deanship of Student Affairs is responsible for the management of the students’ residents and the provision of all necessary services related to their welfare at the University. It also provides a sympathetic quality learning environment that heartens students to accomplish their educational and personal capabilities.

The Deanship of Student Affairs provides accommodation and also facilitates students’ feeding which is being funded throughout the academic year by the national government via the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning of the Republic of South Sudan. Hostels/dormitories are provided separately for both males and females pursuing undergraduate programs, merely on the basis of their demand and availability.

However, the Deanship of Students’ Affairs guides the students’ intramural and extramural activities with aim of building their personalities behaviorally, cognitively and skillfully. In addition, the Deanship of Students has formulated Guiding Principles and Hostel Policy, Rules, Regulations and Code of Conduct for boarders in order to ensure the prevalence of a secure, comfortable and conducive learning environment for students in the University. Furthermore, the management of the Deanship of Students’ Affairs is headed by the Dean of Students, Deputy Dean, and Head departments for each of the four established departments. There are categorically two units under each department.
